Cade + Dev Academy - June 11-15 (Scratch, Printing and Kites)

This event is no longer on sale.

Monday June 11

8:30 AM  –  5:30 AM

Interested in learning how to program your computer? Want to understand the connections between computing, Computer Science, and mathematics? Or maybe you want to create your own computer games? Using the Scratch programming environment, we show you how to start building interesting programs in just 15 minutes.  Scratch makes programming fun and intuitive, yet is extensible and powerful enough to support general computation.

Learn about different printing methods through time as you use the Cade Museum’s own 19th century printing press, create carved block prints, and develop pop-art inspired portraits on the computer. Discover the physical forces involved in kite-flying while creating your own kite.

* Cade Museum Members Neural Network (Household) level or above receive a 10% discount. Please call (352)371-8001 x 1109 to register.
